About the project

Taiwan Speak is a public installation with an interactive design. There are many news and information updates every day. How could designers help people pay attention to issues, and create empathy, and respect? By creating narrative space and provoking people to get engaged by listening to other people's stories. The installation will be set at the Taipei Train Station, where most people do commute. The device will offer an intro video to learn about how the device work. After understanding the process. Users could choose any story there are interested in and also share their story by recording. The stories are based on several Taiwanese societal issues. The goal is to establish an easy and playful device to provoke curiosity of everyday news.
